Since I have so many beautiful rainbow scraps, thanks to the Bottled Rainbows quilt, I thought that nothing could be more perfect than a mini-rainbow!
This pic was taken a few days ago, and progress is moving along nicely! I'm thinking of backing it in Amy Butler's red lotus flowers, but here's where I need your help! What color should I bind it in??? I really have no idea.
I'm linking up to WIP Wednesday, over on Lee's blog. Check it out!
Hi Jenny, I absolutely LOVE these rainbow hexes! Really, I think you could bind it with any of the colors...your favorite?
ReplyDeleteI love the hexagons!! I think it would be cute with a rainbow striped binding...just my 2 cents :o)
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, I popped by for a quick look at your hexies, and stayed glued until I'd seen all your posts! You have a lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow, I love this! Your colors are so bright and cheerful, and you've arranged them perfectly. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a fabulous pillow! For the binding I would probably go with yellow or green, but that is almost always my choice. Use your favorite, I don't really think there is a wrong choice here. You could also go with black/white, too. Not much help, eh?
ReplyDeleteAck! So pretty!! I have a thing for all things color wheelish! How about these on white with hand-stitching and another row of hexagons near the opening? Either way I am looking forward to you finishing it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI love this! SO cute. I agree with Shanna that a rainbow stripe would be really cool. I used the rainbow stripe from Ann Kelle's Remix line for my Bottled Rainbows quilt, and it's really fun. Or you could go with black, and that would frame everything nicely.
ReplyDeleteI really love this! Those hexies are super cute. I think you should bind it kona coal -- although a rainbow stripe would also look great.
ReplyDeleteI really love this too! Those colours look beautiful together. I would also go for a black border - I think it always makes the colours really pop out even more.
ReplyDeletelove this! i'd bind in gray. medium gray kona or gray and white dot.
ReplyDeleteFabulous rainbow!
ReplyDeleteThank you all SO much for your kind comments! I have some Kona charcoal, medium gray, and some dark purple (I forget which one), and am toying with the idea of each. I guess I will have to audition them when the pillow cover is almost done!
ReplyDeletesuper duper cute. I would bind in a bright stripe or a black and white scroll print. my 2cents ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your hexagon pillow. I would say a black print.
ReplyDeleteLove those pretty rainbow-y hexies! I think they'd be happy bound in grey. Or for more of a punch some black - solid.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute rainbow hexies. I love this idea. My quilt guild is doing Bottled Rainbows so I may have to try this out as well!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it! I have a ton of little scrap pieces I could use.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get a chance, check out my blog. I gave you an award.
